Aaron’s Story – Pursuing your Dream Career

September 1, 2016

Hoping to pursue a career in the music industry, Aaron Tremain sought a college education that would put him on the right track after graduation. Huntington University – which offers a degree in Music Business – was the perfect fit for Aaron. That is, except for the price tag.

This left Aaron in a difficult position: if he were to attend Huntington, he’d need to take on a significant amount of student debt only to pursue a career in an uncertain industry. If it didn’t work out, Aaron feared he might be chained to thousands of dollars of student debt, potentially forced to work a job (or several) just to pay his bills. He nearly decided to abandon the pursuit of his passions altogether, before Huntington officials offered him a loan repayment assistance program (LRAP).

LRAP gave Aaron not only the peace of mind to graduate from Huntington, but also the support he needed to start his career. Graduating in 2014, Aaron is doing what he loves as a sales engineer at Sweetwater Sound in Ft. Wayne, IN.
