Lyon College, a private institution located in Batesville, Arkansas, is the only institution in the state to offer Loan Repayment Assistance Programs (LRAPs) to all incoming, first-year students starting with the Fall 2021 semester.

“While we don’t believe the value of a degree from Lyon can be measured in dollars alone, we understand that student loans are a barrier to higher education for many families,” said W. Joseph King, President of Lyon College. “We want to ease student and parent financial concerns by offering families this financial safety-net.”

LRAPs provide students and families with a powerful promise. If income after graduation is modest, LRAPs will help repay:

  • Federal student loans.
  • Parent PLUS loans.
  • Private alternative loans.

“We want to show our conviction that graduates of Lyon College receive a quality education that prepares them to succeed in the workforce,” King said.
