Kylon Alford-Windfield provides leadership and support in advancing the overall enrollment goals of Jackson State University and overseeing the departments of admission, financial aid, and recruiting. Alford-Windfield came to JSU after serving as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Under his guidance, the institution experienced a notable increase in enrollment, showcasing his strategic approach and deep understanding of the intricacies of enrollment management.
A native of Jackson, Miss., Alford-Windfield received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mississippi Valley State University. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the executive Ph.D. program in urban higher education at Jackson State University. He was recently appointed to the Ruffalo Noel Levitz AI Leadership Council. He is a dedicated member of the National Advisory Committee for the College Board’s annual Historically Black Colleges and Universities Conference, where he actively contributes to the broader dialogue shaping the future of education.

Matt serves the needs of our clients and their students, bringing with him experience in a long, successful career in higher ed and a passion for helping students pursue their callings. He has extensive knowledge of the higher ed industry, having previously served in roles within student development, admissions, and for the majority of his career, in enrollment management where he oversaw financial aid and admissions for trad and non-trad programs. He was most recently the Vice President of Enrollment at Spring Arbor University, where he helped increase their main campus undergraduate enrollment by over 60% with Ardeo’s LRAPs. Matt earned a BS in education from Greenville University and an MA in sociology from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
